Ultra Trachyphyllia Coral (Trachyphyllia geoffroyi)

Description:
The Ultra Trachyphyllia Coral is a premium-grade LPS coral prized for its intense coloration, dramatic patterns, and flowing fleshy polyp structure. Known for its striking blend of neon greens, deep reds, vibrant oranges, and iridescent blues, each Ultra Trachy displays a unique marbled appearance that glows spectacularly under blue or actinic lighting.

Trachyphyllia geoffroyi is a large, single-polyp brain coral with a gently folded, ridged structure and a soft, fleshy mantle that expands beautifully during the day. Peaceful and hardy, the Ultra Trachy is an ideal showpiece for both novice and experienced reef hobbyists looking for a standout centrepiece coral with movement, color, and presence.

Feeding & Nutrition:

Ultra Trachyphyllia corals are highly receptive to feeding. While they rely on photosynthesis from their zooxanthellae, they thrive when given mysis shrimp, chopped seafood, reef roids, or LPS pellets 1–2 times per week. Target feeding at night or during polyp extension encourages faster growth and richer coloration.

Notes:

  • Best kept on the sandbed where the fleshy tissue is protected from abrasion.

  • Do not place near aggressive corals, as Trachys are peaceful and easily damaged.

  • Avoid high flow that can cause tissue recession.

  • Excellent centerpiece coral for a mixed reef or LPS-dominated system.
