Feeding & Nutrition:
Ultra Trachyphyllia corals are highly receptive to feeding. While they rely on photosynthesis from their zooxanthellae, they thrive when given mysis shrimp, chopped seafood, reef roids, or LPS pellets 1–2 times per week. Target feeding at night or during polyp extension encourages faster growth and richer coloration.
Notes:
-
Best kept on the sandbed where the fleshy tissue is protected from abrasion.
-
Do not place near aggressive corals, as Trachys are peaceful and easily damaged.
-
Avoid high flow that can cause tissue recession.
-
Excellent centerpiece coral for a mixed reef or LPS-dominated system.
