The Red Sea MAX E-Series aquariums are compete rimless reef systems comprising of Red Sea’s REEF-SPEC filtration system and LED lighting.

Red Sea’s MAX E-Series systems are a complete contemporary reef system that combines a rimless, ultra-clear glass aquarium with a sleek and stylish cabinet, while also incorporating a filtration and lighting system specifically designed for reef keeping.
The E-Series provides everything needed to create a healthy reef system without having to worry about equipment selection and compatibility.
Both the MAX E-170 & E-260are equipped with the very latest in reef keeping technology including the new Red Sea ReefLED 90 LED lighting and Red Sea’s REEF-SPEC filtration and circulation systems. All the equipment is hidden away in a rear chamber and powered by a one-plug control panel.
The E-Series have a unique dual sump option allowing you to use the rear chamber (as standard) for the filtration system or the optional in-cabinet sump upgrade.
The in-cabinet sump option allows for more space for equipment such as a phosphate or calcium reactor while also offering more overall water volume to the system.
The Circulation
The water is circulated by European Eco Pump(s), one in the E-170 and two in the E-260. The water is returned via a discrete multidirectional eye ball nozzle which can be angled to ensure there are no dead spots.
The Skimmer
Also hidden in the rear sump is the Red Sea REEF-SPEC MSK 900 Skimmer which circulates the water through at east 3 times an hour with a 3 to 1 water to air ratio.
The cleaver design of the MSK 900 Skimmer means it is not affected by changes in water level and has an adjustable outlet gate to maintain optimal water level in the skimmer, according to the water conditions.
The Lighting
The Red Sea ReefLED Series of lighting is a result of years of research into the specific lighting needs of corals.
The main part of the unit is a single compact LED array which includes: a multi-wavelength Reef-Spec 23,000 Kelvin Blue channel (a blend of blue, violet and UV LED’s), a 9,000K White and also a separate 3w Moonlight channel. This provides a wide range of Reef-Spec lighting that looks stunning and is 100% appreciated by corals.
The ReefLED have an enormously wide spread of light due to the hollow optical-glass lenses. The whole lens is recessed into the unit, preventing glare and light shining into the viewers eyes.
All ReefLED models are equipped with built in WiFi which ensures full control via the Red Sea ReefBeat App. The App includes pre-set lighting programs plus additional feature such as sunrise/sunset, lunar cycle, random clouds and even an acclimation program.
